Qinghui Meng is a postdoctoral research scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and joined the Burke group in December 2020. She graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) with a doctoral degree in engineering in July 2019. For her thesis, entitled "Theoretical studies on reaction kinetics of biodiesels," she employed high-level quantum chemical methods, kinetics theories, and kinetic modeling to provide precise kinetic descriptions of key reactions in combustion. In 2014, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Radiochemistry from Lanzhou University. Before joining the Burke group, she worked on theoretical kinetics studies at USTC and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
